The Mitsubishi Design Center in Japan has teamed up with Ashcraft Design to bring us a 50″ concept display that looks to integrate itself with interior trends in the U.S.
It is obvious the designers were thinking outside the box with this set, doing away with boxy styling in favor of sleek curves. Quite an achievement when the display itself must be flat.
The design also offers up a new feature. LCD monitor modules slide out from the side on command that can link up with video cameras for surveillance, child monitoring or even two-way video communications.
I would love to see this display in person, it seems very nicely finished. Apparently there is a little Mitsubishi logo embedded in the glass and the edges illuminated with a soft blue light.
