The Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI) has announced that a voice recognition Sat Nav unit will be available towards the end of this month (June) at the World IT Show.
The first Sat Nav device to be equipped with voice recognition was the FineDrive Bio from FineDigital, which supports up to 450,000 words.
There is not much information available as yet about the new device but I’m sure we’ll hear more over the coming week as we get closer to the event.
This interface integration has the potential to really propel voice recognition into the mainstream and advance the technology further to make it more accurate, responsive and practical for other applications.
