Electrocution is always a good deterrent and perhaps that’s what inspired this jolt-giving security box called the Shock Safe. It won’t actually do much harm – it’s powered by 3 AA batteries (not included) – but like the Lego Safe, should create some hilarious YouTube moments of your family, friends or co-workers if you train a camera on it.

You can program the electro-money-box with your own 4-digit code and it comes complete with a coin slot and collection tray for your hard-earned change. Flashing lights and sound effects are included too, so you can race back to your cubicle to catch the would-be-thief red numb-handed.
