Flexicord Shapable Cables Can Be Styled, Give Excellent Hold.

A company called E-Filliate have introduced an ingenious range of products that are ideal for cable-management fanatics and quirky-gadget zealots alike. Their Flexicord Cables are bendy and shapable, yet hold their form – allowing you to curl any excess and ensure the cable is “always the right length” for the job.

The Flexicord cables were officially introduced and exhibited at CES 2009 recently and will come in USB, S-Video, RCA Phono (Red, White and Yellow), Cat5e and HDMI varieties. Think of them as a cross between your traditional A/V and computer cabling and a pipe cleaner. They can be bent, twisted or wound any way you please – and will hold that shape until you alter it. They should prove to be an excellent way to reduce cable clutter behind workstations or entertainment units, or even right on your desktop.

When fully straightened the cables will stretch to 10 feet (3.04m) long, but when coiled, can reduce to 1 foot (30.5cm) or perhaps even shorter. The pack includes a transparent plastic “coiling tube” that will allow you to return the cable to it’s original shape, but a vacuum cleaner wand should work just as well if you lose it.

Unfortunately, there is no pricing or availability info as yet – but you can check them out further at the product’s site.
