Phototherapy Hairbrush Uses Laser Stimulation For Luscious Locks

The Phototherapy Hairbrush

If you’re terrified like I am by the thought of losing your hair, or are simply keen on making your locks look their natural best (dye and chemical treatments don’t count) - then this gadget could be a big help. Called the Phototherapy Hairbrush and looking like some kind of laser comb, it uses proven Photobiostimulation therapy to increase circulation to your scalp, which in turn delivers more oxygen and nutrients to your follicles - promoting thicker and healthier hair growth.

Employing a technology that has been used in labs and salons for more than 20 years, the Phototherapy Hairbrush incorporates a low-level laser and four LEDs, producing a safe-level of light energy that is equally effective on both men and women. The treatment involves simply passing (or “brushing“) the wand through your hair for three 15 minute sessions a week (so basically just every other day) and even includes a timer which shuts the brush off when the 15 minutes are up.

Apparently users typically see thicker, more vibrant hair in around 8-16 weeks, which is not at all surprising considering how damned slowly new growth takes to appear - particularly when you’re trying out different things and waiting to see results.

With its laser and LEDs rated at 10 years of service and using so little power it runs on 2 x AAA cells for up to 6 months, the Phototherapy Hairbrush is available now from Hammacher Schlemmer for $199.95.

Hammacher Schlemmer are offering Mark's Technology News readers free shipping on all orders over $99 until March 1st, 2010. To take advantage of this offer, simply enter voucher code FEBSHIPS at the checkout.
