The Apple iPhones are constantly changing and developing as more consumers become a fan of the phone. The iPhone 4, Apple’s new design and style for the phone, has wowed consumers and critics with the changes that make this phone new, improved and even better than the previous generations of iPhones. It makes even newer devices from other companies look outdated due to the technology, features and ultra sleek design.

Internal Technology

Perhaps the most interesting part of any new gadget is the internal system, and the Apple iPhone 4 doesn’t disappoint with its improved hardware.

This phone features the A4 chip first designed for the iPad. This chip is similar to previous CPU chips, but in the iPhone 4, the speed of the processor is faster than previous models. Though it is faster than the iPhone 3GS, the difference is not as noticeable as the previous models since the processing system is similar.

Apple have not only improved the CPU, but also the RAM capacity – which is double that of previous iPhones. More RAM improves the ability to multi-task, and provides improved responsiveness from games, apps, video and pictures.

The battery strength within the phone is much greater than the previous models too, due to the larger lithium-ion battery. Consumers will no longer need to recharge the battery throughout the day because it doesn’t drain as quickly.

The iPhone 4 offers both 16 GB and 34 GB of space, so consumers are able to select the appropriate internal storage for personal wants and needs.

Improved Features

The camera is a 5 mega-pixel digital camera with an LED flash, which lets consumers can take clearer pictures – even in low lighting. Apple have completely changed the camera to match the other technology within the phone, allowing an all-in-one device that avoids lugging around your comparatively giant point-and-shoot while on-the-go.

The iPhone 4 also features a 720 pixel VGA video camera on the front of the phone, so you can shoot video without adding the expense of a camera. While the phone requires a steady hand to take the best video, the images are clear and well focused. Video editing software is added to the mix for convenient and immediate video editing.

The iPhone 4 does not have internal GPS, radio, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or similar features. Instead, these features are on the outside of the phone. The band around the middle of the iPhone 4 is nothing more than antennae for the various features that were previously internal. As a result, the phone is able to pick up Wi-Fi, radio signals, Bluetooth and GPS much easier than previous models of the phone.

An amazing innovation in the iPhone 4 is the screen. The retina display screen is much clearer than competitor phones or previous iPhones because the pixels are much smaller.

Design

The design is perhaps one of the most interesting changes of the iPhone 4. The rounded edges and smooth shape of the previous phones has transformed into a more utilitarian appearance, constructed with more durable materials.

The glass shell around the phone is made from the same material used in helicopter construction, making it much tougher than other phones and provides a scratch-resistant surface. The band around the phone is crisp and straight, giving the phone a more geometric shape.

Overall, the iPhone 4 has well exceeded the expectations of the public – and thanks to new contract-free SIM Only Plans, consumers can avoid lengthy tie-ins and purchase this amazing phone outright.
