Are you afraid someone’s going to eat the last piece of your favorite chocolate cake while you’re stuck at the office? Wish you could keep a close eye on the things you care about the most — even when you’re not at home?
Well, with the Smartphone Home Monitor, you can keep your home or office under constant video surveillance.
This surveillance camera can be set up anywhere to transmit video in real-time to any iPhone or Android smartphone via the Internet. By logging in to a specific website, you can even remotely position the camera – tilting the lens up to 125° and panning it up to 270° to achieve an optimal view.
The camera transmits video in a 640 x 480 resolution at 30 fps, and also comes equipped with 15 infrared LEDs positioned around the lens for night-vision surveillance.
When the camera’s motion detector is activated, it automatically sends you an e-mail and saves a 30-second video to an SD card (not included) – keeping an eye on things for you even when your remote eyes are needed elsewhere.
Connecting to any computer running Windows XP, Vista, 7 or Mac OS X 10.5 or later through the included Ethernet cable or WiFi, the Smartphone Home Monitor measures just 5″ H x 4″ W x 5″ L, and it’s available at Hammacher Schlemmer for $249.95.
