Spaceport America, the world’s first (purpose-built) commercial spaceport broke ground recently in New Mexico and thanks to design winners Foster and Partners, we have some concept images representing just what the giant 110,000 square foot facility may look like. Defense contractor Northrop Grumman recently announced that they have successfully created and tested a 100kW electric solid state laser.
