Apple’s MacBook today received a major update, adopting the unibody, monocoque-style casing used on the MacBook Pro and Air. The revamped 13.3-inch MacBook now features a new 1280 x 800 LED-backlit widescreen display, a spacious glass Multi-Touch trackpad and a 7-hour battery – the longest-lasting MacBook battery yet. Apple’s Genius Bar – the dedicated, hands-on technical assistance area within Apple’s Retail Stores seems like a rather clever concept. Staffed by highly skilled individuals trained in all things Apple, their job appears to be to make customer service, troubleshooting and repairs as cheerful and user friendly as the products Apple produces. Apple today launched an updated version of their iPod Shuffle, which gets an elegant new redesign that’s around half the size of its predecessor. The new Shuffle’s storage capacity is now doubled to 4GB and includes an interesting new feature called VoiceOver, that tells you which song is currently playing and by which artist – at the touch of a button.
