Video: “Long Gone” Music Video Made With 45,000 Photos

“Long Gone” is a remarkable music video (below) created for the band, Fat City Reprise, by director and animator Casar Kuriyama. The clip was shot not with video, but with 45,000 DSLR photographic stills, pieced together to create a captivating and inexpensive artistic video running at 24fps.

TSA Communication Plates: Provocative Airport X-Ray Art

Artist Evan Roth has been working on a soon to be released project that toys with an innovative and provocative means of communication as a form of protest. The project, called “TSA Communication“, incorporates metal plates with laser-cut messages placed at the bottom of carry-on luggage. As the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) employees X-ray the luggage, the intended message is presented on the operator’s display.

Video: Heathrow’s Amazing ‘Cloud’ Flip-Dot Sculpture

Troika art and design studio have come up with an incredible animated sculpture for British Airways in Heathrow’s new Terminal 5. ‘Cloud’ is a five-meter long work of art that is covered in 4,638 flip-dots that can be individually programmed to create stunning visual effects. The flip-dots also generate the sound of old airport signs that is so reminiscent of travel.
