Nokia yesterday announced the official release of their 7205 Intrigue clamshell-style cellphone, which features an attractive “hidden-until-lit” display on the front. The external 1.9-inch 176 x 32 PMOLED display is virtually invisible until lit by an incoming call or message alert.

First LG announces a groundbreaking Watch Phone to show at CES 2009 and sure enough, some other company tops that by making a whole range of them available now. That company would be Phenom Communications, who have managed to pair an unlocked GSM cellphone and an MP3/MP4 player and pack it inside a touchscreen equipped wristwatch.

LG today demonstrated their latest development in cellphone chip technology, based on the 3GPP Long Term Evolution (LTE) standard. They managed to achieve a whopping 60Mbps download / 20Mbps upload speed in the demo, around half of the technology’s theoretical limits of 100Mbps down and 50Mbps up.

The much rumored Nokia E63 has been made official with Nokia today releasing a press release and yesterday sending out pre-production models to a few select bloggers. The handset / messaging device features a QWERTY keypad, WiFi and surprisingly, a pre-tax and subsidy price of only €199 ($258).
