Personal MagLev Train Pods Presented At CEATEC

It would seem that Tyco and Gakken have had a glimpse of the future. At the recent CEATEC exhibition they presented a personal Magnetic Levitation (MagLev) transportation system, which uses a magnetic field to make the vehicle hover around 1.2-inches above the track whilst propelling it along.

MoVille Concept Car: The Water-Drop Shaped Omnidirectional Pod

The 2008 Peugeot Design Competition has produced yet another interesting concept car, this time in the shape of an omnidirectional pod that looks just like a water-drop. Called the MoVille, this single-seater pod designed by Woo-Ram Lee is compact in size and is powered by solar energy, providing motion to the huge spherical wheels via electromagnets.

NASA Concept Car: A Decapitation Machine That Can Drive Sideways

I don’t know if the designers of this concept car are capital punishment zealots, but the two occupants look as if they’re destined to be heading down a road crossed with razor-sharp wire – positioned, say, about head height. The helmets? All part of the ruse. They’re test drivers for this new concept car, see?
