JuJups: 3D Printing Service Makes Ornaments In Your Likeness

We’ve seen 3D printing services before, but this one comes with a twist. JuJups, by Singaporean design company Genometri, is offering customized ornaments that should appeal to consumer vanity right in time for Christmas. Through their site you can upload a photo and immortalize yourself in the form of a tacky, three-dimensional bauble for the tree. To add to the humiliation, you’ll be dressed as either Santa, an Angel or an Elf.

Ponoko have developed a great new laser-cutting service called Photomake that lets you transform your drawings into real objects without even leaving the house. The web-based service requires you to upload a clear photo of your drawing for the system to scan, the design will then be laser-cut from a material of your choosing and shipped to your door.
