The new Flip Mino is a tiny camcorder designed for the YouTube era. With a size smaller than most cell phones, you can take it everywhere and be ready to capture videos of life’s random moments.
It is made by Pure Digital, a company that has a number of camera devices and accessories under its belt including the Flip Original and Flip Ultra.
The Mino measures just 4in x 2in x 0.6in – a 40% reduction over the Flip Ultra which was already very small. It weighs just over three ounces.
The control pad features touch-sensitive buttons which are more stylish than its predecessor. They are very easy to use too – just turn it on, point, and press record to start shooting.
It plugs into any computer’s USB port via a unique arm and includes built-in software for instant sharing and editing on PC or Mac.
The device comes with 2GB of on-board flash memory which will capture up to 1 hour of VGA-quality video. After a recording, you can instantly play back video on the in-built 1.5-inch LCD display.
The lithium-ion battery can be charged over USB and according to Pure Digital, can provide over four hours of recording on a single charge.
It also has a 2x digital zoom, tripod mount and TV connection cable included.
Pricing for this tiny camcorder is set at $179.99 (MSRP)
