iPhone 2.0 Software Already Unlocked: Use Any Carrier

The new iPhone 2.0 software has already been unlocked prior to its official release today. The hack allows you to choose your own network instead of being tied to an official carrier.

The unlocking tool, called Pwnage, was created by the iPhone Dev Team and will be available for download soon. They have had their hands on the 2.0 software for a while, apparently it’s out there if you know where to look.

It was only a matter of time before someone came up with a hack to override Apple’s one-carrier per country policy but to have achieved it before the official release is quite an achievement.

The guys made the unlocking claim back in March, giving Apple a chance to improve the software but it does not seem as if they have.
