Ferrari Scuderia Spider 16M: World’s Fastest Convertible

Ferrari have recently put together a new road car called the Scuderia Spider 16M, which is being touted as the world’s fastest convertible. The 4.3-liter V-8 supercar is capable of blasting itself from zero to 100kph (62mph) in a lightning fast 3.7 seconds, thanks to its 503-horsepower engine.

The 16M is a tribute to the marque’s recent win at the Formula 1 Constructor’s World Championship 2008. The car has a top speed of 315kph (195mph) and will be available with in either black with grey trim or a special tricolor scheme.

The car will include a customized Ferrari iPod Touch 16GB with a built-in dock in the front of the dash (it’s difficult to make it out in the pictures though). Production will be limited to just 499 models for a little exclusivity and will surely be priced above the standard F430 Spider’s $221,000 list.

For us poorer aficionados, there’s a virtual tour, more photos and full specs over at FerrariWorld, or we can continue to marvel at the Ferrari V4 Superbike Concept.
