Flip MinoHD: Flip Video Unveils World’s Smallest HD Camcorder

Not wanting to miss out on the HD arena, Flip Video have released an updated version of their Flip Mino we saw back in June. The new version, called the Flip MinoHD, looks identical to its predecessor but shoots video in 720p high-definition.

The MinoHD will save up to 60 minutes of HD video in 16:9 widescreen onto its built-in 4GB memory, but does not come with a memory card slot for extra shooting. A limiting omission, but likely a deliberate one…it’s a plug-and-play, fun-size device designed with simplicity in mind. It comes with a 1.5″ no glare display and a sealed lithium-ion battery that offers up to 2 hours of run time.

A flip out arm plugs the gadget directly into a USB slot on any PC or Mac and is designed to make capturing and transferring your video to YouTube, AOL, MySpace etc. as easy as possible.

The HD camcorder is also highly customizable. You can create your own case styling to come up with a truly unique appearance, or choose from thousands of professional designs at no extra cost.

The dimensions are the same as the previous version at 4″ x 2″ x 0.6″, it weighs 3.3 ounces and is available now direct from Flip Video for $229.99.
