JuJups: 3D Printing Service Makes Ornaments In Your Likeness

We’ve seen 3D printing services before, but this one comes with a twist. JuJups, by Singaporean design company Genometri, is offering customized ornaments that should appeal to consumer vanity right in time for Christmas. Through their site you can upload a photo and immortalize yourself in the form of a tacky, three-dimensional bauble for the tree. To add to the humiliation, you’ll be dressed as either Santa, an Angel or an Elf.

To be honest, I’d give this a try if they had a lion option. I’ve always wondered what I’d look like as a lion…a la Wizard Of Oz. The more you move away from the Christmas tackiness, the more appealing this service becomes.

They have a bunch of great alternatives too like customized cards, photo frames (video below), mugs (see kittie below) and t-shirts that can all be designed through their site. If you’re a pretty good designer and after some cash, you’ll soon be able to sell your designs there too.

They have printers all over the world to print and deliver locally and if you have a printing business, you can join in to serve your local area. Pricing doesn’t seem too unreasonable either, with the personalized 3D baubles going for $24.95.
