Rechargeable Heated Insoles Keep Your Toes Toasty

It sure is a chilly winter. London’s all icy and some parts of England saw a low of minus 10° C (14° F) last night. Brrr. While we do our best to rug up in coats and scarves, there’s little we can do to keep our toes warm when out in the cold…until now.

The Rechargeable Heated Insoles are surprisingly slim shoe inserts that warm your lower extremities to a cosy 37° C (98.6° F) for up to 8 hours per full charge. They’re designed for winter sports such as skiing and sledding, but would be just as useful for day-to-day warmth during these harsh winter months.

The insoles incorporate a small lithium-ion battery for “consistently lengthy operation” and can be recharged up to 500 times. They require 8 hours of charging via an AC adapter (below) to get the matching 8 hours of operation, which should work out well if you use them during the day and charge them while you sleep.

Consisting of six different layers, the insoles incorporate heat-retaining synthetic material for extra warmth and an ergonomic, shock-absorbing base to make everything nice and comfy. The Rechargeable Heated Insoles are available now from Hammacher Schlemmer in a range of sizes for $99.95 and they come with a lifetime guarantee, which is reassuring. I wonder if that covers water damage?

hello, what is the material of the sole..? Foam..? What kind please. I am asking as I what to know what the BEST material that dispenses heat BEST..? Do You know, if so, Please tell me. Theses look very good i live in MN and my feet get cold even in a pair of Sorel Boots (The Best) and two pair of wool socks, after standing or sitting for 1/2 hour??
Thank You./ I know that styro Beads filled in a cotton bag will hold heat.. as if you put one hand on one side YOU CAN FEEL THE HEAT ON THE OTHER. I wish you could use a material like that with the heat source INSIDE then the Whole unit would be warm, not just the electric heat sorse if you know what I mean looking for a reply Thanks alex

Alex, I’m afraid the Rechargeable Heated Insoles are no longer available – but they had a polyurethane base and a synthetic material on top to cover the heating element. I wonder, have you tried using a couple of pairs of thermal socks? They usually come in wool (like you said you’ve tried) or synthetic, but feature a special weave that is better at retaining heat. Hope this helps – Mark.
