The PSP Go is Sony’s recently announced portable gaming system, sporting a sliding display panel, 16GB flash memory, built-in Bluetooth support and a crisp 3.8-inch (480 x 272 pixel) LCD display. Set for a US release on October 1, the PSP Go will ditch support for Sony’s Universal Media Disc (UMD) in favor of downloadable games and online entertainment via the PlayStation Network.
With a weight of 5.6oz (158g), the PSP Go is designed with true portability in mind, weighing 43 percent less than the previous PSP-3000. For connectivity the Go also includes WiFi, USB 2.0 and a Memory Stick Micro slot.
Despite the wait for the official fall release, you can secure yourself a PSP Go on preorder now at Amazon.com for $249.99.
