Will this device work in Australia or is it for UK only?

Stuart, I’ve been in contact with Firebox and they’ve said they can’t guarantee that it will pick up an alternative to Freeview outside of Europe. Seeing as though Australia has its own Freeview service now, I would say your chances are pretty good though.
Be aware however that the Boombox Projector comes with a region 2 DVD player, so won’t play region 4 discs purchased in Australia. There are numerous online DVD outlets that will ship region 2 disks worldwide however, or alternatively, if you have movies stored on your computer’s hard drive – you can transfer them to a USB flash drive and play them from that.
The only other issue is the power cable, but since Australia uses the same voltage as the UK, all you’ll need is a travel plug adapter from Woolies etc. to get it running.
