Gigabyte M528 Atom-Based MID For $750

Gigabyte has released pricing and availability information for its M528 Mobile Internet Device (MID) that was shown at the recent Computex exhibition.

The device will be released in Taiwan in late July at a price of around $750.

The M528 features Intel’s new Centrino Atom processor at 800MHz, a 4GB Solid State Disk and Linux OS with Merry-Go-Round i-CON interface,

It has an 4.8″ 800 x 480 LCD touch screen, a 3MP auto-focus camera, a 300k pixel web cam plus USB and micro-SD ports. It also has GPS and 3G support.

The M528 comes with a range of software including the Firefox web browser, email, Skype, Pidgin IM, Media AP and Open Office.

Its dimensions are 152 x 80 x 22.5mm and has a weight of 340g.
